WebAug 14, 2024 · You could go to outboard easily enough, the problem would be deciding what height to mount it, too high and you could find ventilation problems when the boat pitches, too deep and you will get a lot of drag, and a fountain, from the drive leg. I'd like to hear from anyone who has, or has knowledge of, anyone who has converted from an outboard to an inboard, preferably on a Hardy Pilot. I'd like to step down to around a 30Hp diesel engine.
